Cast your mind back to Euro 2004, the final. Nobody expected Greece to have the staying power, but there they were - having beaten their way past France and the Czech Republic, only Portugal stood between them and glory.

Playing with signature flair and pace on their home turf, Portugal had already lost once to Greece in the group stages of the same tournament, a minor disaster in itself. Meeting again in the final, the smart money was still on Portugal - but with recent history against them, you weren't quite so sure.

Greece surprised everyone, bringing a dogged, determined defence to the pitch time and again throughout the tournament. The wins weren't terribly attractive, but they worked. The final 1-0 smash and grab sealed the deal for the Greeks, and Portugal came out worse off for the second time in weeks.

Fast forward to March, 2008 - the two sides meet again here and while only listed as an international friendly, the weight of expectation is as strong as ever. Who would come out on top?
